With winter quickly approaching our thoughts (if a little begrudgingly) are slowly turning to knitwear, boots and winter coats. So why not get seasonal? September is black berry season but the berry theme extends way further than picking berries from the fields. Berry shades have also infiltrated the autumn/winter catwalks and have even affected our make-up palettes too! Fashion wise, we’re talking sumptuous fabrics in berry shades; cranberry, blackcurrant and plum purple tones. Choose a dress or a skirt in a luxurious silk or velvet to make the colour stand out even more and wear with black opaque tights. These tones also look great in lingerie form so check out our autumn collection for some very tasty treats!
To get the autumn look right invest in some berry shades to up date your make-up palette. We recommend a plum eyeshadow tone to refresh the classic smoky eye, add hints of the purple shadow to both the upper and lower lid to tie in the autumn trend. Lipstick in blackcurrant tones and deep berry shades will also be winners for the autumnal look. Top tip: with such strong focus on the lips keep the rest of your make-up relatively simple. Or you could simply go for a berry nail polish shade, deep reds and purples will give a glamorous feel. There are also many pampering and beauty products that are bursting with berry goodness, try a berry scented moisturiser for fabulously soft and fragrant skin, a berry shower gel to wake you up in the morning or a berry scented candle to relax with when you get home. Berries are also great for your health too so if you don’t fancy smothering yourself in berry scents or wearing berry tones then you could simply enjoy the berries the easy way and just eat them!
