This week sees the launch of the new Early Spring Season. What a treat it’s turned out to be! Some of our favourite styles have been updated in new colour ways.Take the Satine for example, it was launched last year and already has proven to be very popular, with customers rewarding it with 4 and a half heart rating and is now available in 4 colourways – ivory, black, cobalt and this season we’ve introduced the scarlet version. It’s a slightly padded plunge style and goes up to J cup so for girls who thought that a padded plunge was out of their reach this one is great for you!
Another popular style is Starburst back in 2011 this was launched as the ‘Poppy’ bra and you raved about it for it’s simple unpadded plunge shape. This season it’s been updated with a ditsy starburst purple print. In spite of it being a plunge it still offers great coverage and uplift, definately one to try!

Our popular Satine bra has now arrived in a gorgeous new cobalt blue just in time for Christmas!
The gorgeous satin feel of this bra and the fact that it goes up to a J cup has earned it 4 and a half hearts in customer reviews.
Customers have said that it’s great for everyday wear & that the satin makes it feel more luxurious. It’s already available in an ivory and black and we have more colourways planned (a gorgeous colour coming for early spring in time for Valentine’s Day!), it’s definately one worth trying.
Have you worn Satine? What do you think?

September has arrived, and it’s looking promising. The nights are getting darker earlier, there is a crispness in the air early evening, however the days are much warmer with blue clear skies, so we are hopeful of a good couple of weeks. September signals a new season and a new start. We know that the autumn collections have been appearing in our shops for the last two months, but now we can consider what we are going to actually buy.
Now would be the perfect time to edit your lingerie drawer and wardrobe, as we know it’s tempting to just shove everything in, close it and ignore the mess. But it’s a great way to start the new season, organised and de-cluttered! When it comes to your lingerie drawer, take a look at the items that you actually wear and the bras or briefs that are ‘hanging around’, hoping that they will be worn again. You may have bras that are not the right size for you, bras that are faded and saggy, knickers that have grown in size over the years and have more holes than the usual three.
Bravissimo offer a recycling bra service, so you don’t need to add to landfill. Just pop into one of our stores and if you can’t see a bra bank, just ask, as they will have one in the store. Tommy’s, the charity that fund research into still birth and miscarriage, receive £1 for every 1 kg of bras recycled, and the bras are then re-used or recycled in developing countries.
For briefs, put them in a textiles bank provided by charities like Oxfam, The Salvation Army and Scope. You will find these at supermarkets or local council sites. Make sure your briefs are washed and dry before you put them in.
So now you have room in your drawer, you can start to think about some gorgeous new buys. Bravissimo’s brand new autumn collection is now online and in our stores (we are very excited about it, by the way).
We have some fabulous new florals in our new collection, like the Satine Floral Bra by Bravissimo. It is ultra luxurious with a slight fifties glamour look. It is available in mink floral, which is a perfect colourway for autumn, this is contrasted with black, satin ribbon trim on the cups and contrast black straps. We have designed this style around the ‘Satine’ so it offers the same fantastic fit and comfort and it is an underwired lightly padded plunge, which creates great cleavage and shape. It is available to buy with a thong or briefs.
For a bra that is cute, retro, with a bit of an edge, try the Ada Bra by Freya. This print is based on a tattoo with the classic rose image, but the print it also features, scrolls, hearts and dragonflies, so you wont lose this one in your drawer! It is an underwired balconette and the print is contrasted with gorgeous embroidery on the cup and finished off with black and white spotty bows and pink ribbon. The Ada will also give you great fit and comfort all day long and is available to buy with matching briefs or shorts.
If you are after pretty and ditsy, then the Piper Bra by Freya will tick all the boxes. This floral is small and perfectly formed, it is available in passionfruit, which is a lovely soft blush colour and is contrasted with black stretch lace on the cups and straps, it is also finished off with cute bows. This bra will offer great support and comfort. It is available to buy with briefs of shorts, which are designed with a stretch lace back, which give them a real cheeky feel.

We are so excited here at Bravissimo. Yes we do love the summer sale, but we cannot wait to feast our eyes on the new autumn collection and there are some utterly gorgeous, new lingerie sets for next season. It seems wrong when it has been so warm recently to concentrate on autumn, but our new sets are not a total departure from summer style. Who says that just because autumn is on its way that we have to ditch the colour and give up print? Our new collection features exciting prints, fresh and clean colours and bright and sexy mid-tones all highlighted by gorgeous styles.
The Princess Bra by Curvy Kate is very pretty, but also makes a bold statement as it comes in vibrant teal. It is an underwired balconette, this style has been a real favourite of our Bravissimo ladies, so we have brought it back! The combination of sheer dot and opaque dot gives this set a sexy edge and is finished off with pale pink bows. Even though it is a delicate looking bra, don’t be fooled, the Princess is still incredibly supportive. It is available to buy with matching thong or shorts.
The Darcy Bra by Cleo is fantastically stylish. It’s the cute heart print in navy, red and white and the contrast of the trims and details that make this set stand out. The cups are trimmed with red lace and the straps are made from textured navy ribbon. The cups are lightly padded, and come as a half-cup, this style is similar to the very popular ‘Juna’ and ‘Ellie’ bras and we are sure you will love it just as much. It is available to buy with deep briefs or a thong.
Wow…is a good description of the Hatty Bra by Freya. This bra creates amazing curves and cleavage. Our Bravissimo ladies may recognise this style, as it is based on the Deco shape. It is an underwired moulded plunge which gives this bra its incredible boob uplift. It is available in duck egg with a small pinstripe pattern. It is finished off with button detailing, which also appears on the matching shorts and briefs.

There have been some amazing moments over the summer months, and cherished memories that will be with us for some time to come. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics and the Paralympics (still yet to come) have put the UK on the map again and there has been a great feeling of celebration and optimism all over the country.
We are extremely proud and (just a wee bit surprised) that Great Britain did so well in the Olympics and there were some real inspirational moments within the games, for instance Tom Daley’s celebration on winning his bronze medal, anyone would have thought he had won a gold! And winning a medal not long after losing his beloved father. Mo Farah, from a humble start in Somalia, we all hoped he would win the 5,000 metres after winning 10,000 metres, but we didn’t quite believe he could, but he did. Then there was Gemma Gibbons, fighting on in the Judo final with a broken thumb and the iconic moment when she looked to the heavens on qualifying for the final to tell her late mother that she loved her.
This amount of triumph over adversity just shows us that anything can be achieved if you put your mind to it. So over the next few weeks, why not think of what you would like to achieve by this time next year, it may something big like a new job, or moving abroad, or it could be learning a musical instrument, or a foreign language, you may want to come and work at Bravissimo! We may not all be the next Jess Ennis, but everyone can set achievable goals and reach them.
