Ok, it’s not funny anymore, where has the start of summer gone? April showers are one thing but ‘pouring down May’ is not acceptable. While we wait for the British weather to cheer up, we thought we could bring a little bit of summer to our Bravissimo ladies. So, what is the remedy to this grey, dank and damp weather? Prints of course, nothing sums up summer better than a vibrant colourful print and Bravissimo have some sizzling sets that shout SUMMER! from the rooftops.
If you have a wild side just waiting to get out, you could choose a fabulous animal print. Lots of women think animal prints are not for them, and are just for barmaids from our favourite soaps, (think, Becky from Coronation St, Kat from EastEnders and even further back the fabulous Bet Lynch). However animal print on lingerie is gorgeous and sassy.
Bravissimo have come up with a new twist on their latest animal print, the Wild At Heart Bra by Bravissimo is an animal print, but if you look closely they are little hearts. It is available in Pink Animal and it is an underwired lightly padded plunge. One reviewer commented “Brilliant fit, incredible lift and really fun print”.
If you are loving the retro summer trend for spots, Bravissimo have brought out a new dotty design, the Olivia Bra by Cleo. Exclusive to Bravissimo, is an underwired balconette, it is available in Aqua, with gorgeous fuchsia contrast lace trim. This style is based on the shape of The Alexa bra and so far it is proving very popular with our ladies. It creates a lovely upfront and rounded shape and still offers fantastic support.
The Tabitha Bra by Freya is the loved classic Freya shape. It is an underwired balconette and is available in Lime, in a great zig-zag print. It is reminiscent of a print by Italian fashion design house Missoni, so it won’t date and will remain stylish forever.
All these stunning sets are available with matching briefs, shorts or a thong, so you can chase those storm clouds away and start thinking summery thoughts right now.

New animal print is all about subtlety rather than full-on head to toe leopard print! Animal inspired prints this season will appear on clothing, footwear and accessories so there are plenty of options for you to display a little bit of your wild side! Wear your prints with this season’s utility trend to hit the safari vibe or if you just can’t resist this trend in its fullest then go all out in an animal print maxi.
The prints; Leopard print has made a transition from evening to day wear and becomes more casual and a little edgy for summer. Zebra print and tiger print are also on trend so be creative with what prints you wear. Snakeskin looks great for accessories but not so good for clothing, so best stick to the handbags and shoes for this particular print. Why not glam-up your work wardrobe with a bit of print? Our Animal Spot Shift Dress in a subtle mono-chrome print is smart enough for work but add heels and a few glam accessories and it will work just as well in the evening! The shift shape and to-the-knee hemline keeps the dress sophisticated but the print makes it a bit more exciting than your standard office dress!
Animal print is also taking over swimwear this season. The Masquerade Tassia bikini combines black and brown zebra print with tribal inspired beading on the alterneck and briefs to a very glamorous effect and what’s more, this style is exclusive to us! Wear yours as it is on the beach and under a sheer kaftan for evenings or pool side lunches.

It might seem like a daunting trend but if you stick to this simple guide to wearing print then you can’t go wrong! Prints for this season scream notice me, they’re bold, bright, tropical, tribal, or floral and they’re definitely not for the faint hearted! These fun and fashionable prints have also stepped up a notch as they become digitally enhanced, so that wearing one becomes like wearing a giant digital photograph, very avant-garde!
For the brighter prints keep the style short, a tunic dress, shorts, or eye catching jacket should do the trick with out overpowering the look with too much of a good thing! The traveller look is great for this clashing print frenzy, simply combine earthy tones and animal print with bright, bold flashes of colour and wear with wedges for an effortlessly chic spring look. If you like prints but don’t however like the showiness of OTT trends then opt for more subtle prints in softer colours. Floral prints work well for pulling off the boho vibe and can be worn in longer styles such as maxi skirts and dresses.
Our Ditsy Floral Print Blouse is the perfect top for pulling off the print look in a more subtle way, its small flower print in soft purples and pinks hits the boho trend without causing too much of a scene! If you prefer something with a longer sleeve we have the Fancy Floral Shirt, the pleat detail helps to define the waist whilst the long sleeves help you to stay covered. Like a print with a bit more punch? Then check out our Animal Print Wrap Dress, this gorgeous black and white print is enough to get you noticed without being over the top. Wear with brightly coloured accessories and shoes for extra impact! Plus, animal print is also a key trend for spring/summer and FYI, is worth investing in as rumour has it this trend will be just as hot next autumn/winter!
All in all, this bold statement trend contrasts with this season’s pastel shades and is definitely a trend for those that prefer to stand out in a crowd. These bold bright and slightly in your face prints are guaranteed to do two things; 1- get you noticed and 2 – wake you up. If you usually feel a bit groggy in a morning, forget your usual 2 cups of coffee, walking around in these boldly bright prints all day is bound to keep you perky!
