This weekend might just feel a bit longer than last weekend, as the clocks go back on Sunday morning, so we will all get an extra hour in bed to recover from our excesses…bliss!
It is also Halloween on Monday. A day that most kids look forward to, as they can spray their hair, cover themselves in fake blood and knock on peoples’ doors and ask for money or sweets, (what’s not to like!)
Some ladies up and down the country will also be channeling their inner child, by dressing up as ghouls, ghosts and zombies. Most gatherings over the weekend will have a Halloween theme, so if you have been invited to a party, or you are going out with friends and the dress code is black and dramatic, don’t panic! Even if fancy dress is not your thing, Bravissimo have some beautiful black dresses from Pepperberry that would fit the bill perfectly, but won’t spook you out in the process. With the right Halloween-style accessories and make-up you will look drop dead (see what I did there?) gorgeous.
A new dress in the Pepperberry collection is the utterly stunning Cowl Back Jersey Maxi Dress. This maxi has a low cowl detail at the back of the dress, giving this dress the wow factor. There is a mesh panel that covers your bra, and there are tabs built in to the dress that will hold your bra firmly in place. This dress has cap sleeves with a double row of tiny diamante edging on the sleeves. Wear this dress with very high black platforms, backcombed hair, and you may even want to add a diamante hair clip. Go heavy with the eye make-up, dark smoky eyes in black and midnight and pale lipstick makes a lovely contrast.
Another great LBD is the Embellished Bandeau Dress from Pepperberry. This is a gorgeous prom style dress, it has a boned bodice and is in a taffeta look fabric. It is fully lined and has a black diamante panel just under the bust. This dress has a net underskirt and detachable straps, so can be worn as a sexy bandeau too. If you are proud of your waist, then this dress will make the most of it. Some fabulous sky-high heels will finish this dress off. Go sixties inspired with the hair and make-up. False eye lashes are a must and some huge eye flicks and bright red lips, paint your nails black and backcomb your hair and pin it into a beehive.
Whether you are spending the weekend carving pumpkins and cutting holes in sheets or whether you are escaping Halloween fever and doing something completely different. We hope you have a really enjoyable one. And if you can’t be good, be scarey.

Yet another glittering awards ceremony took place recently in Los Angeles, the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. An evening that recognises and honours the television industry. There were a few predictable winners, namely hit US shows. Modern Family and Mad Men, but there was also some success for British shows and actors. The extremely popular and fast growing ITV drama Downton Abbey was a big winner as was its leading actress Dame Maggie Smith. Oscar winner Kate Winslet was honoured for her role as Mildred Pierce.
The A-List ladies were out in force and it really was a close call when it came to who really ‘wowed’ on the red carpet, but Christina Hendricks seems to exude glamour like nobody else, so hurrah! Another triumph for us big boobed girls. Her dress was by Johanna Johannsson and was a jewel encrusted sliver fitted dress with a fluted bottom, a deep-V which enhanced her wonderful cleavage and a sexy split. If she reminded us of anyone, well it was difficult to miss how much she resembled Marilyn Monroe.
The colour red was very evident at The Emmys in the fashion stakes, with actresses Lea Michele, Kate Winslet, Nina Dobrev, Adrianne Palicki and TV hosts Giuliana Rancic and Nancy O’Dell all plumping for it. None of them appeared to be ‘red faced’ that the others had turned up in the same colour, which tells us how on trend ‘the red dress’ is going to be this autumn/winter. Prepare to see the red dress popping up in stores near you and don’t be surprised if the office party at Christmas, is a blaze of red dresses. Luckily enough, Pepperberry are bringing out a red maxi dress, that will be available to buy from the 17th October. It is absolutely stunning and is very similar to the style of Christina Hendricks Emmy’s dress, but obviously in bold red. Keep your eyes peeled as it’s coming very soon and for anyone who can’t wait and wants a preview, the dress can be found on Pepperberry’s Facebook page.

Whether it’s a very special birthday, or a friend’s wedding, it will be glamorous and swanky and everyone will be dressed in their finery.
Bravissimo are here to hold your hand and point you in the right direction, look no further than Pepperberry, Bravissimo’s own clothing range. If you have worn your old faithful Pepperberry dress at previous weddings and birthdays, we have some stunning new dresses in this week, that are bang on trend and will be perfect for August and September, but will also be great for Christmas parties later in the year.
The Platinum Shift Dress, is an absolutely sensational dress and is following the bodycon trend that originated from the designer Herve Leger, who has been designing these dresses since the eighties. Later the trend was reinvented by Victoria Beckham in her first collection. This dress by Pepperberry is very flattering and will hug your curves, it is structured, which is always a better option for bigger boobs. The dress is fully lined in contrasting purple and it is available in platinum satin. It has capped sleeves and an aubergine skinny belt that is detachable. For a dramatic look you could accessorise it with purple heels, clutch bag and wrap.
The Rose Print Prom Dress, is a cutie of a dress, it takes its inspiration from the 1950s. The bodice of the dress is in jewel-like purple and the skirt is a lovely rose print with a net underskirt for that great fifties look. The waist is defined by a large purple bow, which is reversible and there are hidden tabs under the straps to keep your bra in place too. You could accessorise with black satin heels, a short satin tuxedo bolero, and a teal clutch.
There are plenty more utterly gorgeous, sexy and chic dresses in our NEW IN section online or available in our stores. So whatever your posh event this bank holiday weekend, don’t miss out, and switch on the glamour with Pepperberry.

A well-known fashion retailer has been selling a bra (like hot cakes, if you’ll excuse the pun), which increases your bust appearance by two sizes. There has been such a demand lately for bust enhancing bras, that this same retailer has now produced a bikini that does the same thing, so the store has introduced a gel-filled bikini top that will boost your assets by two cup sizes. Not since the ‘Wonderbra’ of the Eighties has there been such a desire by women to increase their bust size and also replicate the classic hourglass figure of the Fifties. Finally it is recognised that real womanly curves are something to aspire to, not hide away in baggy tops.
This new trend has been partly inspired by Christina Hendricks, who plays Joan Holloway in the American TV show Mad Men. For those of you who haven’t seen Christina, she is a vision of loveliness, a healthy size 14, real curves, big boobs, (that are not surgically enhanced) and she wears them well, (take a look at Google). Her boobs aren’t disguised, she dresses to enhance and flatter her bust at all times. She was voted the ‘sexiest woman in the world’ in 2010 in a poll of female readers taken by Esquire magazine, and Vivienne Westwood has described Hendricks as “the embodiment of beauty.” She is a great role model for Bravissimo ladies (even if she doesn’t know it yet).
To all of our wonderful Curvy, Really Curvy and Super Curvy Bravissimo ladies, we are in a very fortunate position. We have those much coveted assets for real, with no need for gel enhanced bras. So let’s help Christina put curves firmly back on the fashion map, and celebrate our boobs. We will promise to do our bit, by continuing to give you beautiful, sexy and supportive bras and Pepperberry will keep bringing you fabulous clothes designed with your boobs in mind. And if you want to follow in the style footsteps of Christina, check out these great dresses.

The maxi dress trend does not seem to be going away, but this year, unlike any other, maxi’s will be featuring in autumn/winter collections instead of just spring/summer. The Belted Maxi Dress as mentioned above, is a very stylish maxi. Fully lined, it features a cute little frill sleeve. Included with the dress is the plaited brown belt, which can be taken off if preferred. This dress would look great for autumn accessorised with brown leather riding boots and a faux sheepskin gilet for that boho look.
Another bohemian inspired dress is the Paisley Frill Dress, this dress is extremely feminine with its layered floaty look, and it has a waterfall style hem and features a detachable plaited brown belt. The dress is available in a pink and blue paisley print, and comes with a pink cami. This dress could be bought now and worn through late summer into autumn, when you could accessorise it with knee high boots and a waterfall longline cardi in a soft grey or oatmeal.
Back to florals; check out the Ditsy Frill Blouse, this is another botanical style print. A sheer blouse in greys and neutrals with delicate ruffles, makes this extra feminine. At the moment you could pair up with some shorts or a floaty skirt for a really girly look. In the autumn this will look great with a grey tailored jacket & jeans, or it could be worn to the office to soften up a suit.

The Printed Wrap Dress comes in sunny yellow, which is on trend at the moment. Wrap dresses are hugely flattering for bigger boobs, so this dress really does create amazing cleavage. It is suitable for work, worn with a fitted jacket and heels, or a day out with the girls, accessorising with a cardi and a pair of wedges.
Everyone needs a maxi dress in their wardrobe, they are great for a holiday to make you feel a bit dressed up after a day in your beachwear, or for a wedding or day at the races. The Floral Print Maxi Dress is a beautiful, feminine and floaty maxi, it has a large, vibrant floral and is fully lined.
The Bandeau Strappy Top in fitted jersey, is a must have for every summer wardrobe, it comes in black, cobalt blue, lemon, orange and white, you can wear it as a bandeau, or with the strap as a halterneck, it has a integrated bra, so you can go braless too. This top is extremely versatile, you could wear it with wide palazzo pants, cropped tapered chinos, a fifties full skirt, or a great pair of shorts; which brings us nicely to the Button Front Short, they come in navy and white and look great with a vest, or a little cotton shirt and waistcoat for that smarter look.

When Dannii Minogue was pregnant last year, her first outing after she made the anouncement publically, was to the National Television Awards. She looked absolutely stunning. The dress she chose was a strapless black and white prom style dress with big bold stripes which she wore with red heels. In May of this year Suzanne Shaw of Emmerdale fame attended The British Soap Awards. She too wore a black and white bold striped prom dress, accessorised with a wide black patent belt.
Never one to miss a trend, Bravissimo’s own clothing label Pepperberry, have a near identical dress that you can buy in store or online. Monochrome makes a loud and clear fashion statement, so is a brave choice for an event. It also suits everyone, whether your hair is blonde, red, brunette or black. It is very easy to accessorise, just choose a colour and buy matching clutch, shoes, necklace and cardi and your done!
Also black and white is suitable for an evening do or daytime event, so it won’t be left in your wardrobe gathering dust. You could wear it to a Wedding, then dress it down the following week with a denim jacket and ballet pumps and wear on a night out with the girls.
So don’t miss out on this lovely frock. It’s called the Satin Stripe Prom Dress, The bodice is boned, it has a tulle skirt, the belt is optional and the real clever part, it has detachable straps so you can wear it with or without straps. This dress is a must have this Summer, and if you like the monochrome trend, we have much much more from Pepperberry.

The good news is that the transition between chillier and warmer weather at this time of year can easily be navigated with items that you probably already have in your wardrobe, add them to your summer clothes and you have a wardrobe that will see you through to August.
The denim jacket is a winner this time of year and everyone has one somewhere in their wardrobe. A denim jacket can be worn over a pretty day dress, see Pepperberry’s Cotton Frill Day Dress, or looks fantastic with a maxi dress, like Bravissimo’s Coral Print Maxi Dress, and, if sandals are a touch too optimistic, a pair of plimsolls will work just as well with both of these looks.
The other great transitional piece is ‘The Shirt’ – it can be worn with jeans, or this season’s khaki or beige chinos. See Pepperberry’s fabulous Relaxed Fit Chinos in stone. The humble shirt can also be worn with a button through denim skirt, which is more substantial than a cotton skirt, if the weather is chilly. So whether it’s classic white or checked, the shirt is a must, for the changeable weather. Don’t miss Pepperberry’s own version – the Check Woven Blouse.
A boyfriend cardigan is incredibly versatile, it can be belted and worn over tapered trousers or skinny jeans and can also be worn loose over shorts or a dress. Pepperberry’s Boyfriend Cardigan in Mocha looks fabulous over the Mint Swirl Dress, wear with leggings, if there is a nip in the air. Also everywhere in the high street at the moment you will find shorts. Love them or hate them, Pepperberry have a pretty fabulous pair, the Button Front Shorts in white, which look great with a wide striped vest or t-shirt, add plimsolls or a pair of wedges to complete the nautical look.
So we can now feel confident that whatever the British weather throws at us in the coming months, we have it covered and, someone once said, “There is no such thing as bad weather only bad clothes.”

We were fairly fond of ‘Our Kate’ anyway, she seems a lovely girl, down to earth and happy in her own skin. What we love about her, is that she chose to wear a high street dress for such an important occasion, which was a brave step and shows she knows her own mind. No doubt her advisors would have been urging her to use a designer, so how fantastic that our future queen is celebrating and supporting our high street. Incidentally, ‘that dress’ has now sold out in every high street in the UK.
The dress itself is a stunning, bandage, body con dress, and actually would work just as well on bigger-boobed Bravissimo girls. It is extremely versatile and can be worn as a work dress, with court shoes and a blazer or can be accessorised with gold chunky jewellery and hooped earrings for a glamorous evening look. For a similar dress you could try the Black Chevron Ponti Dress by Pepperberry.
Michelle Obama opted for a different style and wore a sweet fifties style prom dress in a damask floral silk satin by Barbara Tfank, a designer from LA. She wore it with a candy pink bolero. For a similar style dress take a look at Pepperberry’s Petal Print Dress and accessorise it with Grosgrain Tape Cardi in dusky pink.
For more gorgeous dresses just like Kate and Michelles’, keep checking the Pepperberry website, as new designs are being added regularly.
