As well as enjoying this summer’s clothing trends we’ll also be making the most of the latest accessory trends to complete our summer wardrobe. Great accessories can make (or break) an outfit, so read on for this season’s hottest accessories…
Summer scarves – are great for jazzing up an outfit with minimum effort. Choose one in a bright bold print to hit the print trend and wear with, well, anything. That’s the beauty of a summer scarf; it can be worn with just about anything!
Sun hats – a cute summer hat is fashionable and practical. We particularly like straw hats in summer, they give a bo-ho vibe, keep the sun out of our eyes and disguise bad hair days, perfect then for summer festivals or when you’re in a rush!
Wedges – high wedges, low wedges, cork wedges, wooden wedges, you name it, it’s in wedge form and we love it! We’re especially into mid-height wedges at the moment, they’re low enough to walk in and be comfortable in all day but they add those all important few inches to make us feel that little bit taller.
Satchel bags – a must have this season, fun, practical and enough room to fit all of your essentials. They’re also on trend for the traveller and bo-ho looks of the season.
Bangles – stack ‘em high ladies. The ethnic traveller look lends itself to jewellery this season by adorning the body in more unusual jewellery such as bangles, toe rings, anklets, and the more the merrier we say!
Make-up – gets a make-over this summer and colour is key. Brightly coloured eye shadow will update your look. Try clashing your make-up with your clothes, nail varnish is the easiest place to start when going for the colour clash.
Cool shades – a snazzy pair of sunglasses are a must, not only to protect our eyes from the sun’s harmful rays but also to make us feel a little glamorous! There are so many styles to choose from that eyewear could be a more difficult decision than your clothing! Better start looking now then!

As cargo pants and military styling make a come back we tell you how to do the utility look and keep it flattering and feminine. The key piece to this look are the trousers, but when we say cargo pants, we don’t mean combat trousers à la the All Saints girls, we mean stiff woven cotton trousers in sophisticated neutrals. Khaki, beige, ivory, nude and grey tones work best for this look, plus crisp white to brighten the neutral colours. Pair your trousers with simple cotton basics for easy utility chic or dress them up with heels and an evening top for the glam factor. Our casual twill trousers in stone are the perfect pair for easy utility. The large pockets add just enough military detailing without being over the top and the tapered hem adds a modern fashion spin. Wear these with a basic tee for casual days or contrast the textures with a silk top and heels for an evening out.
Utility style shorts make an alternative to trousers and will help to keep you cool when summer really kicks off. Shorts can suit everyone it’s merely a case of finding the right shape for your figure. If you’re conscious of your tummy, opt for a high waist pair, these will cover your middle and define your waist. Be careful however not to wear a top that is too tight with anything high waist, this will draw too much attention to your boobs. Instead wear a loose fitting top in a light fabric such as silk or jersey to get a soft draping effect that will flatter your figure. If it’s your hips you’re concerned about try a longer pair, they will skim past your hips and thighs to create a flattering silhouette. Long shorts will also help to balance out a top heavy figure.
If cargo pants and utility shorts just aren’t your thing then get the utility look into your wardrobe with our classic everyday shirt. The button detailing and slight puff-ball sleeve of this shirt make it a modern classic. And with sizes from curvy to super curvy, you won’t find any gapping button holes here!

Afternoon tea is one of those simple pleasures in life that doesn’t cost a lot but is nevertheless very enjoyable. There’s just something civilised and oldy worldy about sitting down with friends and having tea and nibbles. Many people are now choosing afternoon tea for their wedding reception and at parties over sit down meals and hitting the bar. It’s a sophisticated alternative and hopefully won’t result in a distant relative embarrassing themselves and you when they wind up having ‘a bit too much’ of the bucks fizz! That’s not to say that alcohol can’t be enjoyed at a tea party, a little tipple such as a glass of wine or a pitcher of Pimms will turn the party into a grown-up tea party. We are well aware that the English have a cliché for drinking tea, but why not celebrate this tradition we have, as it is one of very few. Afternoon tea is moving away from its rather elderly image and is fast becoming an occasion in itself. Well we do love the finger sandwiches, mini cakes and best of all, a freshly baked scone with cream and jam! Yum! So next time you’re arranging a party or get together why not make it a grown-up tea party? Or better still go out for afternoon tea, minimum effort, maximum pleasure.

Its official, the 90s are retro. This means that we can reinvent the biggest looks of the decade and reflect on the good, the bad and the down right ugly fashions and fads of the era. That’s exactly what we’re going to do, just for fun!
The things we loved about the 90s;
- The Spice Girls – girl power at its fiercest and our most coveted fashion trends, wedges anyone?
- Rachel’s hair in friends – who didn’t take a picture of her to the hairdressers and say ‘I want it like this?’
- OTT make-up
- Boy bands (911 ring any bells?)
The things we’d rather forget about the 90s;
- Lycra, enough said.
- Bumbags – not useful, just plain ugly.
- Shell suits – fashion faux-pas and fire hazard, not the best combination.
- Bad hair – mullets and perms, never again, ever!
- Double denim – wrong, wrong, wrong and sorry but we’re not accepting this as a spring 2010 trend either. We think the fashion world is having us on with that one!
As the 90s trends insist on cropping up in our spring/summer wardrobe we tell you how to rock the 90s look in 2010.
Crop tops. Modern crop tops are shorter at the front and back and have longer sides, for a more flattering effect. They are also floaty, silky and should be worn with a plain vest underneath. This way the look is more of a layered look than a bare mid-rift look. They can also be worn with a high waisted skirt or trousers to keep it classy.
Denim. Just not worn head to toe. This spring denim should be worn as anything apart from as jeans. Denim dresses, shirts, skirts and shorts should keep you going through spring, without a pair of jeans in sight!
Sportswear. Shell suits and track suits should be left in the 90s, the modern sports look is luxe. A kind of glamour meets sports day, with no intention of any actual physical activity. Works for us!
On display underwear. Well, if you’ve got it you may as well flaunt it, especially if your assets are dressed in designed to be seen underwear.

How do French ladies do it? Looking chic and fashionable in such an effortless way? It is a question that has flummoxed us for years. Aside from their proximity to the fashion capital itself, Paris, French women know how to balance just the right amount of fashion and style. So what’s their secret?
Style. It’s simple, French ladies will wear one trend at a time and work it to perfection rather than covering themselves head to toe in the latest fashion fads. These women seem to have the innate ability to spot a fashion classic, whilst we’re still wearing leggings (in every colour, texture and print imaginable).
So how do we do the Parisienne chic thing? The key is great basics, a classic white shirt, great fitting trousers, the perfect fit coat and lashings of black. French women are also more conservative when it comes to flashing the flesh, in other words, they don’t! Sexiness is achieved by leaving what is underneath to the imagination, rather than showcasing your assets in a more obvious way. It’s a look that takes practice to perfect, but effortless chic never goes out of fashion.
If you’re not quite ready for spring trends just yet, why not try the French opulent look by teaming your basics with hints of velvet, silk and plenty of embellishments. A brocade dress or puff ball skirt works well to achieve the luxurious look that makes this trend what it is, but remember, subtlety is key when doing it the French way!

And your wardrobe too!
Do you keep trying to get more colour into your wardrobe but always end up going for the old faithful black? Well if ever there was a time to get more colours into your wardrobe, that time is now. There is an abundance of colour now in shops for new spring/summer collections, so there is no excuse for wearing so much black or grey! For an easy way to add colour to your look, invest in a few accessories in different colours that will compliment pieces already in your wardrobe. A bold coloured bag, bangle or pair of shoes will add an instant injection of colour to an otherwise plain outfit. The layering look can also work well for adding bursts of colour. A bright cami worn underneath a chunky knit cardigan will help to achieve the cosy yet sexy look, whereas, a brightly coloured coat has a much less subtle impact but is still fun!
Now, we’re not against black completely, we just think that there are so many other gorgeous colours out there, why should black get so much attention?! If you’re more colour shy, than colour happy, try the panelling trend. A simple black (or grey) dress with brightly coloured panelling will get more colour into your wardrobe without giving up totally on black. Plus, when the panelling is done in the right places, the overall effect can be more flattering than plain black! Who’d have thought?! And don’t stop there, bold colourful and great fitting lingerie never fails to brighten up our day!
Panache’s Tango bra comes in a beautiful array of colours including purple and red as well the staple black, white and nude. Also, the Maria bra in eye catching aqua is the perfect antidote to these wintry nights.

We’re so over the snow right now we could quite happily never see it again, ice on the other hand, we’ll keep but only to put in our cocktails!
This winter has been a long and cold one, which goes without saying really but honestly shouldn’t it be spring sometime soon? The dark nights and freezing temperatures have really taken a toll on us this year, not to mention the disruption it has caused on the roads and general transport. So we’ve come up with the perfect antidote to these cold wintry nights, a cocktail party! Now we realise that January’s pay check is a long time coming but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have some fun, whilst sticking to a budget. So why not turn the heating up, invite your girlfriends round, put on the cocktail dresses (just because you’re not going out doesn’t mean you don’t have to make an effort) and get the cocktails flowing! Hosting your own party is great as there are only the people there that you want to be there, there are no queues to get in and you can be in control of the music. If everyone brings a different bottle, mixer or nibbles then the costs are spread out evenly and you actually end up getting more for your money if you make the cocktails yourself! Do this and you’re guaranteed to forget about the rubbish weather in no time. What better way to get excited for the Sex and The City sequel than cocktails with the girls?!

Now that we’re really back in the swing of things, we need a little something to cheer us up. Hopefully our gorgeous new early spring clothing will do just that!
The slinky knit dresses is ideal for comfort and versatility. But for something a little more special, take a look at our
fabulous animal print wrap dress, which is on trend for this season’s safari look and the figure hugging button up dress. We know just how important comfort and fit is, that’s why our clothing is designed to give you that extra bit of room for your boobs without compromising on style.
If you want to add a bit of glam to your usual work attire, try the jewel trim top. The subtle jewels on the shoulders of this top make for a little bit of work time sparkle.
Stripes are a must this season and are a wardrobe staple that can be worn smart or casual. Our nautical stripe tee will last all season and the red stripe adds an instant colour injection.
The great fine stripe shirt gives a defined waist and its subtle details add femininity without being overly frilly. Great for the office but also great worn with jeans out of business hours too.
To finish off your spring work look, try our all weather trench. Super smart, super flattering and with two colours to choose from, the only other thing you need to decide is navy or stone?
