Equally you could contrast it with some plain bikini pants, picking any of the vibrant colours from the top. This two-piece would look just as good on a white sandy paradise island, as it would grabbing those last summer rays in your back garden.

If you haven’t yet been away or if you have a weekend away planned, (somewhere you can eat alfresco without getting drenched!) we can help you find some last minute swimwear bargains in our fantastic Bravissimo sale and also give you some top tips on getting your body buffed and beautiful, so you are happy and confident when you hit the beach.
A couple of days before you go away, book yourself in for a leg and bikini wax, this will give your skin time to heal before you have to start using sun protection or a tanning product. If you feel your skin is too pale and you want a hint of colour before your strip off, then try one of the moisturising tanning body lotions. These products build up colour gradually, they work differently to self tan, and the effect won’t be so dramatic. Because they are more subtle, you won’t be left with orange hands or ankles. Remember to buy one that is suited to your skin tone, they usually come in ‘fair to medium’ and ‘medium to dark’. You can also use this product whilst you’re away, post-shower as a moisturiser, and it will continue to enhance a natural tan.
Body oil is a holiday essential and it will keep your arms and legs wonderfully moisturised, nourished and smooth after a day on the beach (again, use it after a shower). Don’t forget a professional pedicure or manicure, or just get a friend to do it for you. When choosing a nail color, go for something vibrant and summery that will look great against a light tan; tangerine, coral, bright red or fuchsia are good choices, or you could choose something really on trend like turquoise.
Lastly don’t forget your hair, summer hair is actually very easy to look after, just run some conditioner through your hair before you head for the beach and choose an easy style like a ponytail or braid.
So now you are looking beach beautiful, take a look at our pick of the best sale bikinis on offer. The Morocco Mix Triangle Bikini Top by Free is a gorgeous ethnic inspired bikini, which comes in lilac and cream. The Havanna Bikini Top by Free is a very stylish bikini, it is an underwired bandeau style top in a check print, available in blue. The top can be worn as a halterneck, or strapless if you want to tan without strap marks. And finally the Circus Bikini Top by Freya is a really fun bikini, with its pop art multi-coloured print. It is a soft triangle top with light padding and has two options for bikini bottoms, bikini briefs in blue with a white spot print or a fold brief which are a contrast of white spot print and multi-coloured print.

The floral trend has taken centre stage on the catwalk this spring/summer, closely followed by colour blocking and the polka dot. ‘Floral’ is reinvented year on year, and this summer we have seen the ditsy flower , the abstract splashy flower, and the classic vintage floral as inspired by Dolce and Gabbana’s collection. There has been a sea of flowers everywhere you look on the high street and they will be with us for some time yet. Autumn/Winter will see new big, bold and brave blooms paraded. If you are not quite ready to say hello to the hollyhocks and welcome the wildflowers to your wardrobe, how about introducing something flamboyant and flowery to your lingerie drawer? New to Bravissimo is the Lyla bra by Freya in amethyst, and really is a beautiful bra. With the cups being mostly sheer, it creates a very sexy look, and the amethyst colour is contrasted well with the aqua embroidery. The style is an underwired balconette, the balconette is lower at the front, so this is a perfect choice for a lower neckline. There are matching briefs and shorts available to buy with this bra, they come in amethyst with a cute contrasting sheer and embroidery frill. Also new to Bravissimo is the gorgeous Poppy bra by Cleo. This is an abstract print in cream and orange, it’s a half cup shape that is lightly padded and has a pretty orange lace trim. This bra is available as a set, with a matching thong or briefs. If you like keeping up with the latest trends, this is a very stylish set. It also provides great support and wonderful shape.
Bring the garden into your bedroom this autumn and invest in some beautiful floral printed lingerie by Bravissimo.

In past blogs, we have mentioned that coral is still a big colour this and next season, well Pepperberry have two very stylish dresses in coral, the first is the Tiered Frill Dress, this is a gorgeous floaty and feminine dress in chiffon, it has a dip dyed effect, so the colour is deeper on the tiered ruffles than on the bodice. This dress puts you in mind of a wonderful sunset and it would be a great choice if dancing is part of your evening. It’s perfect for a wedding and would look spot on accessorised with a nude satin jacket and sky high nude heels.
The Coral Diamanté Shift Dress is just a WOW dress. It is in the body con Roland Mouret style that is so popular with the A-listers. The fabric is heavy satin and has added stretch, so it is extra figure hugging and comfortable too. The back features a sexy keyhole detail and there is also a lovely diamanté belt to finish off the look.
The Lace Overlay Dress is such a classic cocktail dress, it is so versatile, you will be taking this out of your wardrobe over and over again. Lace will always be fashionable, so you can’t go wrong with this one. It fits slightly small in the bust, so it would be a good idea to go up a size. Accessorise with a black satin tuxedo jacket and black satin heels, or you could introduce a bit of colour, how about fuchsia heels and fuchsia bolero jacket?
Absolute jaw dropping glamour and the best bit, the price. Have a great evening.

There are many great towns and cities in Britain (outside London) that are perfect for a day’s shopping; Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester, Cambridge and Brighton to name but a few. So why not indulge yourself and round up a couple of girlfriends and plan a day away? If you have children you could leave them with your partner (get him involved!). Sometimes school holidays can be more stressful and exhausting, so a break and a change of scenery to recharge your batteries will make you feel re-energized as you tackle the rest of the holidays. If you are single, just pick up the phone, your friends will be glad that someone has taken the initiave to organize something.
As its summer, let’s take a closer look at the city of Brighton and Hove on the south coast. Prince Regent made the area fashionable after his first visit in 1783; he fell in love with Brighton and went on to commission the building of The Royal Pavilion. In 1841 with the arrival of the railway, Brighton was more accessible to Londoners, it attracted many day trippers, the town was also known as a health resort, as the seawater was thought to bring many health benefits. Brighton is often known as ‘London by the Sea’, as it is just 50 minutes train journey from Victoria. Its population is made up of students from all over the world, young families and famously has a vibrant gay scene.
You will not get bored in Brighton, there is plenty to do. If you are there early enough you could have a delicious breakfast at Bill’s Produce Store (The Depot, 100 North Road), or for a traditional ‘greasy spoon’ you could go to Cafe Motu (6 Trafalgar Street), a no frills café that serves a fantastic English breakfast.
Then you could take a slow amble through the North Laines, and look at all the amazing independent shops selling vintage clothes, baby clothes, lovely homewear and beautiful jewellery. You could then book yourself in at The Treatment Rooms (New Road), a beauty salon and day spa. They offer all sorts of lovely treatments like a Swedish massage or an aromatherapy facial. You could then have a spot of lunch at Dermot O’Leary’s Fishy Fishy Seafood Brasserie (East Street).
After lunch you could pop into our Bravissimo store (North Street) and have a bra fitting from one of our experienced fitting consultants. If the sun is shining, and it usually is, there’s no better place to be. Give it a go this summer – and do pop in to our store to say hello!

There has been much giddiness in the Bravissimo office lately. The biggest boy band in history are touring once again and the ladies who saw them first time around (when they were still at school), are seeing them again and are even more excited at the prospect, if that is at all possible. Every so often on Twitter or Facebook, someone will write “I am so excited, only X amount of hours and counting til Take That!” There is something about those boys that makes them universally loved. A couple of them in the past may have looked like they were going to damage their reputation, but they seem to bounce back monumentally. Maybe, apart from the brilliant music they keep churning out, it is their ‘down to earth’ nature. We all have the feeling, that if we were to bump into any of the Take That boys in a lift, they would be friendly, funny and lacking any ego (apart from Robbie), and obviously they are all just a tad handsome too.
Unbelievably, there are still some tickets available for the next three days at Wembley. If you have missed out on tickets and can go last minute, check out Take That’s official website. And for a few show-stopping tops to wear if you are going, check out Pepperberry, we have some gorgeous embellished and sparkly tops that will stand out in the crowds. The Shoulder Detail Top is a slinky cowl neck and comes in curvy/really curvy and really/super curvy. The lovely soft taupe which is very on trend, will look great with white jeans and nude heels. The Side Embellished Jersey Top in black, is a wrap-over style top in a figure hugging stretch fabric, it is a deep v, so a plunge bra will be necessary with this one. Wear with an indigo pair of skinny jeans and some rock chick black suede wedges and you are all set for your greatest day…

It’s Wimbledon fortnight and everyone is getting a bit overexcited. The All-England Club is awash with the world’s finest tennis players, the seats, stands and hills are packed full of British women cheering on their heroes, eating strawberries & cream, drinking champagne and generally having a great time. It is also the time of year, when your local park’s tennis courts are packed with hopefuls desperately trying to emulate Andy Murray or Laura Robson.
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a tennis pro, then Bravissimo can recommend the Freya Active Underwired bra, we have been told by some of our Bravissimo ladies, that this is a great sports bra for high impact sports like tennis. The Freya Active will keep your boobs securely in place, fully supported, but still gives great shape and uplift and is super comfortable too. It comes in a great range of colours, including graphite/lime, red, nude, black and white. We have plenty of the black and white available, and keep checking our website, as the other colours will be back in stock soon. Enjoy the rest of Wimbledon ladies, we know we will.
